2024 MEC Internet Construction Update

We are excited to announce our fiber construction plans for 2024.

The zones listed below are areas we plan on starting construction this year, with timelines of when we expect construction to begin and home installations to be started.

FYI: Like with all construction projects, dates are subject to change. We send updates every month to keep you informed on progress. Once construction is complete in an area, it can take 6-12 weeks for installation depending on our current installation schedule. 

Currently we are wrapping up construction in the following zones: Arlington, Geneva, Manchester, and Newton.

For the rest of 2024: 

• Almena: Mainline construction begins in Q2 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• Baroda: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.
• Bertrand: Mainline construction begins in Q2 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• Brookfield: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.
• Eaton Rapids: Mainline construction begins in Q4 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q1 2025.
• Eau Claire B: Mainline construction begins in Q4 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q1 2025.
• Freedom: Mainline construction begins in Q4 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q1 2025.
• Galien: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.
• Garfield Lake: Mainline construction has begun, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• Geer Lake: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.
• Henrietta: Mainline construction begins in Q2 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• Lacota: Mainline construction has begun, and home installations are expected to begin in Q2 2024.
• Lima: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.
• Marshall: Mainline construction has begun, and home installations are expected to begin in Q2 2024.
• Nicholsville: Mainline construction begins in Q4 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q1 2025. 
• Pullman: Mainline construction begins in Q2 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• Sharon: Mainline construction has begun, and home installations are expected to begin in Q2 2024.
• Sylvan: Mainline construction begins in Q2 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• Terminal: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.
• Waterloo: Mainline construction begins in Q2 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q3 2024.
• West Chelsea: Mainline construction begins in Q3 2024, and home installations are expected to begin in Q4 2024.

Have you paid your connection fee yet? Once you sign up for service, we ask that you pay a one-time $100 connection fee. This one-time fee represents your small stake in the construction process, and we cannot build to your property until it's paid.
